GA4 ASC Events Privacy Policy

GA4 ASC Events (“the connector”, “we”, “us”) is a Google Looker Studio community connector operated by VCTRS. It displays data from your Google Analytics 4 property inside reports you build in Looker Studio. This policy explains exactly what data the connector accesses, how it is used, and the choices you have. Effective date: July 12, 2026.

1. Google user data we access

When you authorize the connector with your Google account, it requests the following permissions:

• Read-only access to your Google Analytics data (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly) — used to run the reports you build, list the GA4 properties your account can access, and read the field definitions of the property you select. The connector cannot create, change, or delete anything in your Analytics account.
• Your Google account email address (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email) — used solely to verify whether an active subscription exists for your account.
• Connection to external services (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request) — the technical permission that lets the connector call the Google Analytics API and our payment processor’s API. It is not used to access any of your data beyond what is described here.

2. How we use that data

• Analytics data is retrieved only when you (or a viewer of your report) loads a chart, and only for the fields, property and date range that chart requests.
• Analytics data is used exclusively to render your Looker Studio reports. It is not used for advertising, profiling, model training, market research, or any purpose other than displaying it back to you.
• Your email address is checked against our billing records at our payment processor (Stripe) to confirm subscription status. It is not added to marketing lists and is never sold or shared for any other purpose.

Limited Use disclosure. GA4 ASC Events’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Storage and retention

• The connector runs entirely on Google’s own infrastructure (Google Apps Script). We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process your Analytics data.
• To keep dashboards fast and stay within Google API quotas, query results are held in Google Apps Script’s temporary cache for 30 minutes to 6 hours, after which they expire automatically. Cached data never leaves Google’s infrastructure.
• Your subscription status (a yes/no flag keyed to a hash of your email) is cached for up to 6 hours.
• No Analytics data is written to permanent storage by the connector.

4. Data sharing

• We do not sell, rent, or share your Google user data with third parties.
• Stripe (our payment processor) independently holds the billing information you provide at checkout — name, email, and payment method — under Stripe’s privacy policy. The connector sends Stripe only your email address, to look up subscription status.
• Data you place in a Looker Studio report is visible to whoever you share that report with — report sharing is under your control, not ours.

5. Your choices and revoking access

• You can revoke the connector’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions (remove “GA4 ASC Events”). Reports using the connector will stop loading data immediately.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Stripe billing portal or by contacting us; see the GA4 ASC Events Terms of Service.
• To request deletion of billing records or any support correspondence, contact us via vctrs.io. Cached report data requires no deletion request — it expires automatically within hours.

6. Security

The connector executes inside Google Apps Script under Google’s security controls. Access to your Analytics data uses OAuth tokens managed by Google — the connector never sees your password and never stores long-lived credentials outside Google’s token infrastructure. Payment credentials are handled solely by Stripe and never pass through the connector.

7. Children’s privacy

The connector is a business analytics tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and note the change on this page before it takes effect. Continued use of the connector after a change constitutes acceptance.
